Elixir Guitar strings
기타를 즐겨 치기 시작한 이래 이줄 저줄 많이 사용해 왔다.
처음엔 3천원 미만의 기타줄을 묶음으로 사서 갈고 갈고 했었다가
점차 마틴 다다리오 등등 이것저것 사용해 보았지만,
엘릭서는 너무 비싸서 차마 구매지 못했었다^^;
군대 전역하고 낙원상가 돌다가 전역 기념(?)으로 구매해 보았다.
When I was beginner, I have to practice changing guitar strings.
So I use only cheap string set. Cheap string set can change frequently.
And I become enjoy a new string sounds itself :)
Gradually, I use martin, daddario, etc string sets.
But elixir string sets are so expensive to me...
To celebrate discharging from duty military service, I buy elixir string set!

핑거스타일을 좋아하는 난 연주할때의 깊은 저음은 연주자 본인에겐 매력적이지만,
다른 팝 음악에 사용할때는 아직 내가 저음을 살리지 못해 선호하지 않는다.
믹스할때 저음역대의 부밍이 상당히 거슬리기 때문이다.
엘릭서는 통기타의 까칠한 고음역대를 잘 살려주는,
믹스에 잘 묻는 소리를 들려주었다.
I love fingerstyle play, and Deep low frequencies in acoustic guitar are so attractive to player.
But In mix process, Low frequencies make big booming sounds.
So I have to use High pass filter.
Deep low frequencies in acoustic guitar make me irritate in mixing process.
Elixir strings have nice high frequency sound!
This sound coordinate well with other instrument.
Avril Lavigne - Nobody's home
어릴적 듣고 굉장히 멋지다 생각했어서 이번기회에 녹음해 보았다.
Fender Tele로 녹음했고 통기타는 이번 엘릭서를 사용했다.
핑거스타일같은 독주가 아닌 이러한 형태에서는
잘 묻어나는게 최고인데 만족스럽다.
핑거스타일 연주하며 갖고 놀기에도 줄이 탱글탱글하고
새 줄같은 상태가 상당히 오래 살아있어 기타에 자주 손이 간다.
다다리오 이래 비싼값을 하는 아주 만족스러운 줄이다.
내가 좋아하는 기타리스트 정성하씨 메인 줄이라 하여 나도 써보고싶었는데
소리 면에서나 연주적인 면에서나 탱글탱글함이 정말 맘에든다.
When I was child, Avril Lavigne's guitar sounds are so fantastic!
So I record Nobody's Home to test Elixir string.
I used Fender telecaster and Crafter acoustic guitar.
I think Elixir is good at backing in Rock or Pop or other music.
Of course, It's good at Solo play too.
In fingerstyle play, I amazed at straight and bright sound!
Guitarist SungHa Jung use only Elixir.
He is my one of favorite guitarist :)
Elixir coated with something.. and I think this coating make sound brighter than other strings.
And This string maintain new string state very long time.
Personally, My favorite string set is daddario, but Elixir is nice too.
Now, Choice of daddario or Elixir is depends on my musical situation!
