TEWDA를 운영하는 공학도 정민형이 제안을 했다.
VR 시스템을 활용한 스마트폰용 공포게임을 개발하는데 내게 BGM 제작을 의뢰한 것이다.
혼자 쓰임새 없는 습작들만 만들던 내게 절호의 기회가 아닐 수 없다!
당시 본인은 군복무중 이었고 휴가중이어서 시간이 많지 않다는 압박감이 있었다.
하지만 이건 정말 좋은 기회였다.
My great friend JungMin Choi who run the blog TEWDA suggest making game bgm and sounds.
Jungmin and his friends design smart phone game with VR technology.
I made bgm just for practice before. Then my friend give me a great chance!
But I was in the army, I didn't have many time.
But I can't lose this nice chance!
나는 당장 형을 만나러 형네 학교인 서울시립대 앞으로 동생과 달려간다.
정민형과 나와 동생 민수는 어릴적부터 남다르게 많은 상상을 하고
기획하고 새로운 세계관과 작품을 만들고자 했다.
평소 어릴적부터 꿈을 키우고 기획을 하던 우리가 어느덧 자라
실제 게임을 제작하는 회의와 구상을 하고 있었다.
I went to University of Seoul immediately with my brother Minsoo Joe.
Jungmin and Minsoo imagine a lot of things together since we were child.
We want to make our own story and world.
We were design many stories for game and movie.
Now we make real game, This project give me a happiness and proudness for our childhood.
형이 원하는 소리는 음들로 구성된 음악이라기 보다는 공포 분위기를 고조하는
효과음에 가까운 BGM 이었다.
처음에 모바일로 이야기를 주고 받을 때에는 감이 잡히지 않아 만나서
영화 컨저링, 게임 슬랜더 맨 등을 같이 참고하였다.
나 혼자 습작을 하고 연습할 때에는 내가 제일 잘 할 수 있는 것들만 제작했었다.
헌데 이렇게 클라이언트의 요구에 맞추어 새로운것을 만들고
내가 하지 못했던 분야의 결과물을 만들어 인정받아야 한다니 짜릿하고 기뻤다.
내가 프로가 된 기분이랄까^^
Developer Jung want bgm like a sound effects in the movie "The Conjuring'
or game 'Slender Man'
When he suggest this project, My first plan was what chord works suit for this game.
But He didn't need any chords or notes.
And Before participate in this project, I made things that only I can do.
But Sounds like "The Conjuring" is first time!
This time, This project is not alone. This is Team project.
All this situations gave me many sense of responsibility and proudness.
It is being like a musician^^
<우리 학교에 있는 시설이고 저기 부스에 있는사람은 정민형이다 ㅋㅋㅋ>
음악을 시작한 지얼마 안되어 알바를 통해 장비를 서서히 모아가던 나는
언제나 장비탓 환경탓을 은연중에 했다.
하지만 이번만큼은 내가 갖고 있는 선에서 확실히 해결해야 했고,
클라이언트 정민형도 만족해야 하기 때문에 장비탓 및 변명이 불가능한 상황이었다.
무조건 어느정도 퀄리티를 뽑아내겠다는 열정에 불탔다 ㅋ

I always complain about my shortage of recording equipments and instruments.
I was college student, and I was belong to duty military service.
I don't have money and time.
So when I was student, I did part time job to buy a recording equipments.
But At that time, I had a client. So I have to make nice quality.
I couldn't complaint, I just make music.
This situation give me a challenging and passion.

하지만 현실은 언제나 시궁창이랬던가 내 작업환경은 이러했다-_-
ㅋㅋㅋ
My recording work station was like that-_-

It's very delicious chocolate better than others!!! OMG

그래도 정민형은 고맙게도 만족해 주었고^^:;;ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
이번 작업으로 장비 환경탓과는 거리가 먼 사람이 되었고
이래저래 정말 재밌었고 소소하지만 나의 첫 결과물이 정민형과 함께해서
정말 기쁘고 고마웠다!
음악가로서 일을 할 수 있었던 것이 정말 행복했고
앞으로도 더 발전하리라!

Client Jungmin satisfy my works!
I learn a lot of things during a week of making period.
Thanks to this project, I didn't complain about my recording stuff or instruments.
This is very priceless thing.
This is my first official work.
I am so happy to work as a musician :D
